In 2017, expect DIY, fitness, travel and mental health blogs to conquer the internet once again. With so many blogs out there, however, it’s difficult to keep track of the best. Have no fear: I did some research and weeded out five lifestyle blogs you should be following in 2017. Ready?

Cup of Jo

A Cup of Jo, a New York-based site, is one of the most notable lifestyle blogs on the web. Founded in 2007 by Joanna Goddard — dubbed as the Queen of Blogosphere by Refinery 29 — this blog was established to cover fashion, beauty, food, travel, and relationship stories. This blog is one of those that will keep you coming back every single day to get a daily dose of elegant fashion, finger-licking food, and traveling experiences. However, A Cup of Jo didn’t start out as successful as you may think. The blog struggled during its launch, but after a few years, it grew in monthly readers well into the millions. Today, with over five million monthly viewers, Goddard was able to turn a weekend hobby into a full-time money-making website. The blog currently makes the majority of its revenue from advertising and continues to grow.

HBFIT

Health, beauty, fitness: that’s what HBFIT is all about! Hannah Bronfman, one of the most influential online fitness bloggers, started HBFIT as a way to inspire and motivate fitness advocates. Upon visiting her blog, you can find tips and life hacks about fitness and diet, similar to those here on Lifehack. Are you into makeup and beauty products? If so, then HBFIT will be a great fit for you. If you’re a man, then you’ll probably like the diet plans published in this blog. Additionally, HBFIT provides wellness advice and yummy weight-loss recipes to help you cross out that new years resolution list.

GlobalGrasshopper

As featured on the Travel Channel, GlobalGrasshopper was named one of the most innovative travel blogs of 2015. And the tradition seems to have followed in 2016 too. As an award-winning blog, Becky Moore, the founder, provides readers with beautiful imagery from locations you’ll only dream of visiting. Aside from breathtaking images of beaches, you will also find hotel recommendations and destinations to visit the next time you decide to travel. The blog was created as a resource for independent travelers, specifically for those who are nuts about photography. Warning: Don’t visit their Instagram account, or you might just catch yourself daydreaming somewhere on a mountain in a sunny island.

The Blonde Salad

In 2015, after bringing in $8 million of revenue, the Los Angeles-based blog known as The Blonde Salad was recently re-launched by Chiara Ferragni and Riccardo Pozzoli into a lifestyle magazine. The Blonde Salad has expanded to a team of 16 people and has caught the attention of luxurious brands including Dior and Burberry, as Refinery29 wrote. It’s easy to say that Ferragni is one of the biggest paid bloggers, obtaining a lucky blogging life of fame and fortune. But what makes her so successful? Well, you can thank Ferragni’s 8 million Instagram followers.

Happy Fit Mama

Happy Fit Mama is one of those fitness blogs that will motivate anyone, no matter the age. As part of the BlogHer network, the blog was founded by Angela Bekkala with a dire purpose to make exercising enjoyable. Workout routines, yoga, running coach services frequent the fitness blog — oh, and yummy recipes too! It’s another blog that will help you cross out that new years resolution list.

Final Words:

Every once in a while, I tend to inspire myself by recalling a great quote by Will Rogers. Hope this inspires you: “Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.” So, check out these blogs and get inspired! Featured photo credit: Stokpic via pixabay.com
