1. Boozy Skinny Hot Chocolate

Have you ever tasted amaretto? It’s one of those alcohols that’s dangerous in the sense that it is so delicious and smooth that you will not be able to stop drinking it. Combining it with cocoa is just plain genius.

2. Mexican Hot Chocolate with Dulce de Leche Cream

When I think of fall or winter drinks, I often think of spices. Pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon are common fall favorites. This decadent recipe is made dulce de leche by adding vanilla bean ice cream. Yum!

3. Mocha Cocoa Mix

Be prepared for the cold winter months by making your very own mocha mix! A mocha is simply chocolate and espresso rolled into one delicious concoction. You can make a batch of this right now and store it for up to six months.

4. White Spiced Coffee

For this recipe, you have to be serious about having a good cup of spiced rum coffee. I mean you have to crack things and strain them and cook them. In my experience, however, some of the best treats I have made in the kitchen took a good deal of time and patience. Besides, what else do you have to do when you are cooped up trying to escape the frigid weather outside?

5. Eggnog Latte

Eggnog is a classic winter drink, but have you ever had an eggnog latte? This is a super simple recipe as long as you have an espresso maker with a steam wand. And if you do not own one of these machines, perhaps you might ask for one for Christmas?

6. Frothy Eggnog

Did you know you can make your own eggnog? Of course you did. So did I…err…sure I did! Apparently it is not only the beverage that mysteriously appears in a carton. You can, in fact, brew up your own at home. I guarantee that if you have a party with homemade eggnog, your guests will be impressed. Go an extra step and make it into an eggnog latte (as seen above) and your friends are sure to remember this gathering!

7. Christmas Rum Punch

My favorite part about this recipe is that you set fire to the rum (but please follow the rest of the directions and do not drink it while it is on fire). If that does not warm you up, I have no idea what will!

8. Easy Chai Tea

I know I love the warm spice of chai tea, especially in the winter. You can make your own from scratch with this recipe.

9. Moroccan Mint Tea

This hot tea is packed with nutrients from the green tea as well as the fresh mint, and it is pretty simple to make.

10. White Chocolate Peppermint Mocha

This is one of my favorite drinks to get at a coffee shop around the holidays. Peppermint always reminds me of candy canes on Christmas trees, so a hot cup of the stuff fills me with cheer. This is an easy way to save a few bucks by making your own at home. I cannot wait to try this recipe myself!

11. Hot Toddy

I like that this website gives an outline on how to make a hot toddy. Most people have their own personal preferences when it comes to alcohol and teas, so why not let them pick their own? I think I would go with a green tea, honey and a nice, smooth and spiced rum. What do you think? Which one will you try first?
